Drinking games seem as common on college campuses as tests. So—whether it’s someone else’s party or your own—it’s a good idea to know some of the best games. Of course, it’s important to be wary of your limits and keep everything legal. But it’s also important to have fun!
Getting the Night Off
Drinking games go with a night off. Unfortunately, that can be hard to pull off in college. That doesn’t mean that it’s impossible, though. There are resources that can help reduce stress and save time. One of the biggest options out there is a write my essay service. These allow students to order essays on almost any topic in any style to save them time or help with tough assignments. They are also available to any major, so you don’t need to worry about not finding one that fits you. It’s also helpful to use tutoring services or study in groups to reduce the time it takes to muddle through a difficult assignment. Spending an hour with a tutor is nothing compared to trying to teach yourself a calculus chapter from scratch.
Movie/TV Based Drinking Games
Let’s start off with something rather universal. Almost any movie or TV show in existence has a drinking game to go with it. It’s a great way to kick off a calmer night or ease into playing drinking games. The biggest tip here is to choose a few rules. Many suggested lists have a long list of rules that would have players drinking every second—it’s safer to play with a handful of rules.
It’s also important to note that when these rules simply say “drink” they usually refer to as a sip of a mixed drink. Shots and downing drinks are noted specifically and should be limited to only a rule or two. If you’re taking a shot every time Deadpool breaks the fourth wall, the game isn’t going to last very long!
Any list of student drinking games wouldn’t be complete without mentioning beer pong. It’s in every movie, TV show, and—most likely—any frat party you go to. So, knowing how to play is key.
The setup includes six plastic cups in a triangle on each end of a table with a beer in each one. Teams of three on each end take turns trying to bounce a ping pong ball into the other team’s cups. If they get it in, the other team has to down the cup. Whichever team is left on the table at the end wins?
If you’re looking for something a little more exciting, you could always try fear pong. This is when dares are put under the drinks and when someone drinks, they do the dare.
International or Party Rules
While beer pong is fun, it isn’t going to include everyone if there are more than six attendees. When there are too many people to sit down for a proper drinking game or it isn’t something everyone’s interested in, you can make international rules.
These are rules that everyone at the party has to follow. If they break them, they have to take a drink. This could include no swearing or no pointing. It’s really only limited by what you can come up with.
Never Have I Ever
This is another classic on the list. “Never Have I Ever” includes a group of people sitting around and a willingness, to be honest with one another. Each person starts their turn by saying “Never have I ever…” followed by something they’ve never done. For those that have done it, drink up! Most of the fun from the game comes with some of the embarrassing ideas to follow up the phrase.
Drinking games can be a great way to unwind and relax with friends. They can even be a great way to get to know new people. Just remember that to keep the night fun, don’t overdo it!
